Psych Test
Psychometric testing is a field of study that accesses a persons psychology. Psychometric testing can be found in everyday examples such as applying for jobs with a resume to be a potential worker or completing a test to submit to a university of your choice. This gives a sense of who you are through a personal statement & how the potential candidate would have quantities the facility desires. It is the use of a test to measure the person’s traits, skills knowledge or abilities. These measurements are evaluated by psychometricians who are practisers within psychology who access in a variety of fields of human factors.
This week we has to psychologically evaluate ourselves when watching an orchestra for the film ‘The good, bad and the ugly’ In the video it shows the orchestra playing the theme song as a whole yet at the same time it shows all the individuals and groups all contributing to their role to show all of the participants no matter how big or small their part is is still very important for the orchestra’s performance. I was given an evaluation task to complete whilst watching the orchestra preform to evaluate which participant most likely resembles me in a group work setting whether being a follower or a leader. I realized when listening to all the components of the group performance music I leaned more towards the small but important roles, then in pairs we had to evaluate each others opinions. My work partner is Karoline and with a different coloured pencil she has given me her opinion on what roles she think I am most likely going to do well in. I then written down my thoughts on things that I am good at or not good at to understand myself when it comes to teamwork.

Flipbook task
For the flipbook task we had to come up with a full length sequence of a caterpillar eating and food of our choice. The objective for this task is to draw a caterpillar moving from one side of the page to the other showing the caterpillar approaching, eating then leaving the food it has found. I used post-it notes and pencils to create a series of drawings before videoing the overall outcome to review.
